SMS Opt-In Policy

This policy explains how callers consent to receive transactional SMS messages from AI voice receptionists operated by WiscAI, LLC on behalf of participating small service businesses.
1. How Consent Is Captured
WiscAI, LLC operates AI voice receptionists for small service businesses, including veterinary clinics, HVAC contractors, plumbing services, garage door installers, tree care providers, and restoration companies. Customers call these businesses directly to book appointments and speak with the AI receptionist.
During the call, the caller verbally provides their phone number when asked. Before ending the call, the AI receptionist confirms the phone number with the caller and informs them that a confirmation text will be sent to that number with their appointment details. The caller has the opportunity to decline or provide a different number at this point.
Example of what the AI says during the call:
"So that's your appointment for Tuesday, May 26th at 7:30 AM. And we have you at six one seven, five four three, five nine nine five — we'll send you a confirmation text and email at that number with all the details. Sound right?"
No SMS is sent without this verbal consent captured during a real-time inbound voice call to a participating business line. We do not send SMS based on numbers obtained from any other source.
2. What We Send
One transactional confirmation SMS per appointment booked, containing:
- Business name
- Appointment date and time
- Service-specific preparation instructions (for example, for a veterinary spay/neuter appointment: "no food after midnight, drop-off 7:30 AM, pickup 4 PM")
- Instructions for opting out
We do not send marketing, promotional, or unsolicited content via this number.
3. Frequency
One SMS per appointment booked. A typical caller receives one to two SMS per year. We do not send recurring reminders, marketing campaigns, or follow-up messages.
4. How to Opt Out
Callers may reply STOP to any SMS at any time to opt out of all future SMS. Twilio handles the STOP automatically and no further messages will be sent to that number.
Standard opt-out keywords STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT are all honored per CTIA guidelines.

5. Costs
Standard message and data rates from the caller's mobile carrier may apply. WiscAI does not charge the caller for SMS.
