Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 16, 2026 · Previous version: May 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information WiscAI collects, how we use it, and what steps we take to safeguard it. By using our website (www.wiscai.com), you agree to this policy.
1. What Information We Collect
We collect two types of information:
- Personal Information: This includes your name, email address, phone number, or other details you provide when you contact us or fill out a form.
- Non-Personal Information: This includes data like your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and how long you spend on our site. We gather this automatically to improve your experience.
Chat assistant. Our website includes an AI chat assistant. When you use it, we save the conversation — including any name, email, or phone number you choose to share — so we can answer your questions, follow up with you, and review and improve the assistant's quality. We store only a one-way hashed (anonymized) version of your IP address alongside the conversation, not your actual IP address. We do not use your chat conversations to train AI models. Please don't share sensitive personal information in the chat.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our website and services.
- Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you.
- Analyze how people use our website so we can make it better.
- Meet any legal requirements.
We will never sell your information.
3. Who We Share Your Information With
We only share your information when necessary:
- Service Providers: We use third-party service providers to operate our website and deliver our services. These include telecommunications providers (for SMS delivery, STOP-keyword processing, and call routing), AI processing providers (for voice recognition, speech synthesis, and conversation handling), cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, and analytics providers. Each provider is bound by contractual obligations to use personal information only for the purposes we authorize.
- Legal Reasons: If required by law or to protect WiscAI from fraud or misuse.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your information for the following periods:
- SMS opt-in consent records: at least four years from your last interaction, as required by federal telecommunications law.
- Appointment booking records: 24 months from the appointment date.
- Voice call recordings (where applicable): 30 days, unless we are required to retain them longer for a specific compliance or dispute purpose.
- Website analytics data: 13 months.
- Chat assistant conversations: automatically deleted after 60 days. If you share contact details so we can follow up, we may keep those details longer, as described under "All other personal information" below.
- All other personal information: as long as needed to provide the services you requested or to meet our legal obligations, whichever is longer.
When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we securely delete it.
5. How We Protect Your Information
We use strong security measures to keep your data safe. While no system is completely foolproof, we work hard to protect your information.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, remember your preferences, and analyze how the site is used. We do not use cookies to deliver targeted advertising or to track you across other websites. You can disable cookies through your browser settings; some site features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.
7. Your Rights
You may request any of the following:
- Access: a copy of the personal data we have about you.
- Correction: we will update inaccuracies you flag.
- Deletion: we will delete your information unless we are legally required to keep it.
- Unsubscribe: opt out of marketing emails by clicking the link at the bottom of any message.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address provided below.
8. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law. These typically include:
- The right to know what personal information we have collected about you
- The right to request deletion of your personal information
- The right to correct inaccurate information
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising
- The right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights
WiscAI does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email us at Privacy@WiscAI.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by your state's law.
California residents may also designate an authorized agent to make requests on their behalf.
9. SMS Communications
WiscAI operates AI voice receptionists on behalf of small service businesses (veterinary clinics, HVAC contractors, plumbing services, garage door installers, tree care providers, restoration companies). When you call one of these businesses and book an appointment, you verbally provide your phone number, and we send a single transactional confirmation SMS to that number with your appointment details.
We do not send marketing, promotional, or unsolicited SMS via this channel — only one-time transactional confirmations resulting from your inbound voice call. You may reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out of all future SMS. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
For full details on how SMS opt-in is captured and how to opt out, see our SMS Opt-In Policy.
